Transition Bluffton and the Bluffton University Sustainability Club invite all Bluffton and surrounding residents to join in a nationwide event, “Unleashing the Collective Genius: Celebrating 10 years of Transition in the US.” The Bluffton event will be held on Saturday, October 27, in the Kreider Room of Marbeck Center, Bluffton University.
We will be celebrating with each other here in Northwest Ohio and joining those from around the country in several recorded and live events. Participants should feel free to join any or all of the festivities:
12:30 to 1:00: Arrival and welcome with Suter’s apple cider and donuts
1:00 to 1:45: Keynote with Rob Hopkins, co-founder of the Transition Network
1:45 to 2:30: Panel of people from Transition towns around the country sharing success stories
2:30 to 3:15: Keynote with Margaret Wheatley, world-renowned author, educator, and activist
3:15 to 4:00: Panel on deepening connections with the wider movement for community resilience
4:00 to 5:15: Live session with Transition US staff
5:15 to 6:00: Visioning the next 10 years and closing
The afternoon will include time for informal conversation. Participants are invited to bring refreshments they would like to share with the group.
